CROSSROADS KIDS

ABOUT

We’re here to support your family in exploring God’s truth through the Bible and authentic faith in Jesus. Our goal is to make our environments in I-5 (Birth to Preschool) and 252 Main Street (Kindergarten to Grade 5) your child’s favorite place to be! In Crossroads Kids, your children will experience relevant Bible teachings reinforced through interactive small group activities. We make safety our priority by offering a check-in system with exclusive parent identification security tags, trained security teams, and volunteers who have all passed extensive background checks. Buddies/friends are available for students with special needs.

I-5 MINISTRY

Birth to Pre-school - Our infants to pre-schoolers (up to age 5) ministry focuses on inspiring wonder! Our team presents Biblically inspired songs, videos and crafts to share three basic truths: God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my forever friend

252 MAIN STREET

Elementary Schoolers - Our elementary school-aged children attend 252 Main Street, a ministry inspired by Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” We begin to dive deeper into the principles of wisdom, faith and friendship we began to inspire in I-5 all in a fun, dynamic environment. Our hope is that your child learns to turn to scripture to make wise choices, trust in God and treat others as they want to be treated.

CROSSROADS STUDENTS

Students

Student ministry is comprised of two stages of family ministry for Middle School and High School students. These years in a person’s life are unique and key in developing and owning a personal faith in Jesus Christ. These are phases where we want to align with the household to encourage, teach, lead and love students through milestones and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We do this through connecting, growing and serving with students.

MIDDLE SCHOOLERS

We believe middle school is the perfect time for students to live their faith. Whether they’ve just been introduced to the person of Jesus Christ during a crazy Nerf War No School Next Day or they’re already serving consistently on the GO Team, we are there every step along the way. We do this by Connecting, Growing and Serving.

Connect
  • No School Next Days
Strategic events for middle school students who have no church affiliation/relationship with Christ. An outreach in partnership with Wyldlife (a branch of Young Life).

Grow
  • MSM (Middle School Ministries)
A small group-centered environment held at church every Sunday morning. The goal is to create a safe space for middle school students to grow in their faith and in their relationship with Jesus, leaders, and peers.
Serve
  • GO Team
A team acknowledging middle school students who consistently serve. This provides an opportunity to identify, celebrate, encourage, and mentor student leaders at Crossroads.
Middle School Trips and Retreats
  • School Year: Weekend Retreat. A generally Friday through Sunday weekend retreat to reorient students towards Jesus.
  • Summer: Summer Camp
Middle school-specific week spent at camp. Generally leave on a Monday morning and return on a Friday.

HIGH SCHOOLERS

We encourage our high-schoolers to own their faith in Jesus through learning, leading, and serving. We are passionate about guiding students to become a leader like Jesus in every environment they are in for life. We do this intentionally through our model of Connect, Grow and Serve

Connect
  • Get Togethers
Specific outreach events, like MudBowl and Bubble Soccer, in partnership with like-minded churches and parachurch organizations
Grow
  • HSM (High School Ministries)
A small group-centered environment that is a safe space for high school students to grow in their faith and in their relationship with Jesus, leaders, and peers
Serve

GO Team
A team acknowledging high school students who consistently serve. This provides an opportunity to identify, celebrate, encourage, and mentor student leaders at Crossroads.

High School Trips and Retreats
  • School Year: Weekend Retreat. A generally Friday through Sunday weekend retreat to reorient students towards Jesus.
  • Summer: Summer Camp
High school-specific week spent at camp. Generally leave on a Monday morning and return on a Friday.

ALL ABILITIES

At Crossroads, we do not refer to our special needs community as disabled. Here at Crossroads, we advocate for people of all abilities to be able to connect in our community. We want our services, ministries and offerings to be a place where all of God’s children can come together and thrive spiritually.

Folks engaged in the All Abilities ministry at Crossroads use the word THRIVE to describe what happens when people of all abilities, uniquely created by God, connect and grow together. In an integrated atmosphere, all of God’s children can flourish – in services, ministries, groups, and offerings – as they encourage one another and thrive spiritually together in community.

CLUB 139

Club 139 is an adaptive ministry for adults who have aged out of Capernaum. We meet the second Tuesday of each month (September – June) at Crossroads Church in Westminster, from 6 – 7:30 pm to enjoy fellowship, pizza and a short message. Our focus is on service projects and extending love and acceptance outside of the church walls.

THRIVE CAMP

An annual, inclusive day camp for students in grades 1-8 of all abilities! At Thrive Camp, we create inclusive environments that build connections, strengthen faith and provide unexpected opportunities.

Thrive Camp 2024 was held at Crossroads Church in Westminster from June 24th-27th. Stay tuned for information about our 2025 Thrive Camp!

THRIVE MENTORSHIP

Thrive mentors provide extra support for individuals of all abilities at all ages who wish to live life to the full along with everyone else at Crossroads.

Thrive ministry gives people with intellectual, development, and physical disabilities the chance to experience fun and friendship with others and with God! If you would like to provide 1:1 support or serve as a Thrive friend or at a Beyond hangout for adults, let your campus staff know or volunteer for a Thrive hangout or experience.
